The two double beds provided comfortable sleeping arrangements, but basic toiletries were lacking, as only a bar of soap was available. Breakfast options were minimal, leaving much to be desired. customer service was troubling, with unresponsive representatives adding to the frustration.

All fine, but parking woes

The location of this hotel truly shines, right in the heart of downtown. Easy walking distance to great restaurants and attractions such as the Capitol. I appreciated the friendly staff, too. they were eager to assist and gave excellent local dining recommendations. However, I faced a few issues. The cleanliness of my room left much to be desired. The shower had mold, and I noticed stains on the bed sheets. Maintenance seemed slow on resolving my concerns about the toilet seat not being secured. I also had a frustrating experience with the key cards. they wouldn’t work, and I needed to get them reset multiple times. Overall, some serious upgrades in cleanliness and room upkeep are necessary.

Austin's foodie scene is on fire, and being a hop away from joints like Stubb's Bar-B-Q and My Thai Mom was pure gold! The staff were friendly folks who made it feel like home. Plus, I really appreciated the cleanliness of my room despite the age of the hotel.

But man, this place doesn’t scream La Quinta quality! The $45 valet parking seems like highway robbery with a garage full of junk. My TV saga was wild—hot cable box and no one came to fix it? This spot needs more than just a refresh!
